  • Please bring your Gator 1 ID card or another form of picture identification. 
  • Saliva testing will be performed at all testing locations to detect the presence of the virus. 
  • Individuals will NOT be personally responsible for any payment amounts that are not covered by third party payors, including, but not limited to, non-covered or out-of-network services, deductibles, co-insurance and/or co-payments. 

Parking: The Stephen C. O’Connell Center parking lot will have a limited number of spaces reserved for temporary parking to facilitate COVID-19 testing at the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. These spaces will be located near the 2nd Avenue entrance in the Northwest corner of the lot.

  • UF Health Jacksonville
    If you are a Health Jacksonville employee, you may get tested at public testing sites around Jacksonville and surrounding areas or by going to UF Health Urgent Care – Wildlight. Employees who have a potential workplace exposure must contact their immediate supervisor and Employee Health to be tested. Staff who get a COVID-19 test outside of the UF Health system must notify Employee Wellness at WellnessCovid19@jax.ufl.edu or 244-8333. Notification must take place prior to or day of the test.
  • UF Health Central Florida
    Symptomatic UF Health Central Florida employees can be tested in the Urgent Care Center at UF Health Leesburg Hospital. Nonsymptomatic employees can visit several available offsite community sites for their testing Employees who have a potential workplace exposure must contact Employee Health to be tested.

Learning Your Results

  • If you are experiencing symptoms, please self-isolate away from others immediately, until you receive your test results.
  • You will receive email notification of your test results. Results should take 48 or so hours to be processed.
  • While not required, you may find creating a MyUFHealth account is helpful. When you scheduled your on-campus test, you may have received an activation email for your MYUFHealth account. Set up a free MyUFHealth account to view your results.
  • Please check your UFL email for all of the updates. If you have previously shared a personal email with MyUFHealth, please check that email as well.
  • You will receive several emails if you receive positive test results, and only one email if you are negative.

A Negative Result

  • If your test result is negative for COVID-19, you probably were not infected at the time your sample was collected.
  • This does not mean you will not get sick in the future. It only means that you did not have COVID-19 at the time of testing. Please continue to follow guidelines for helping prevent the spread of COVID.

A Positive Result

If your test result is positive and you have been working remotely, stay at home, away from others, and contact your personal health care provider for further instructions. You may continue working remotely if you feel well. If you have been working at a UF work location and test positive, you will need to stay home, away from others, and must contact your personal health care provider. In either case, please do not return to work until you have met the requirements of the quarantine and return-to-workplace protocols provided by HR and/or your supervisor. You may also be contacted by staff from the State of Florida Department of Health to help reduce the risk of spread to others in our community.


If you are a student and test positive, please follow the guidelines for isolation and self-quarantine for on-campus and off-campus situations.

Call Your Personal Physician About a Positive Test Result 

You will receive a copy of your test result and will be responsible for communicating the result to your personal health care provider and for arranging any clinical follow-up care that might be indicated by the testing result. UF’s return-to-workplace initiative and UF Health Screen, Test & Protect are not responsible for the subsequent clinical care of individuals tested by the program, including the clinical care of individuals who may be found to have a positive test for COVID-19.

Students, faculty or staff who test positive for coronavirus will be interviewed by State of Florida Department of Health personnel trained in epidemiology or public health to identify as many of their recent contacts as possible. Those contacts will include immediate family members, roommates, boyfriends or girlfriends, acquaintances, service workers and anyone else you have interacted closely with. They also will be asked to self-quarantine.
